Bill Tiller, Fellow to the American Academy for the Advancement of Science and Chairman Emeritus of Stanford University's Department of Materials Science, spent 34 years in academia after 9 years as an advisory physicist with the Westinghouse Research Laboratories. He has published over 250 conventional scientific papers, 3 books and several patents. As a renowned scientist, he is also a strong advocate for meditation, non-physical science, and spirituality. Tiller is convinced that intention can influence physical substances and he has developed a crystalline-based silicon technology that can capture and store an intention directed by a group of meditators. This energetic intention resonates at a frequency that can be recorded or broadcast to achieve a designated effect in people. Early research with this technology in his lab at Stanford, as well as labs in London and Berlin, indicates the ability of directed human intention to increase or lower the pH of water by 1 point, the growing of larvae at a 30% increased rate, and the killing of bacteria at a 30% increased rate. This implies some sort of non-physical, non-local connection between intention and these physical substances.

As with any new field of study there will be successes and failures. Scientists are vulnerable to the weaknesses that we all experience. Denial of facts, confirmation bias, resistance to new ideas, etc. are issues that scientists from the old and the emerging paradigm will need to address. Vigorous research can be expensive and funding can be hard to find for theories that are unconventional. So yes, there will be skeptics and there will also be new discoveries that topple long-held beliefs about humans, the universe, and what is possible. Just as Einstein was baffled and skeptical of his own observations of entanglement, we are all liable to have our preconceived notions challenged and overturned by this emerging field of non-material science.

After more than a century of scientific exploration, we now have compelling evidence that our entire Universe is nonlocally interconnected. Since the pioneers of quantum theory realized that a key theoretical prediction was the phenomenon of nonlocality; an innate interconnectedness in the foundations of reality that transcends the limits of space and time, debate has continued as to what this really means. In general, the mainstream scientific view has been that such nonlocality was only exhibited at minute quantum scales and under specific circumstances of particle entanglement.

Only from the 1980s onwards has such nonlocality been able to be tested and validated experimentally. Since then, laboratory experiments have progressively increased the scale for such nonlocal entanglement to far larger than the quantum level; currently to the sizes of organic molecules and even small diamonds.

In 2018, though, a team at MIT went further, MUCH further. They were, astonishingly, able to nonlocally entangle photons of light in their laboratory with starlight from 600 light years away and with the entanglement triggered by light from two vastly more distant quasars 7.8 and 12.2 billion light years away – so with light having left that further quasar 12.2 billion years ago!

An experiment led by Antoine Bérut and Eric Lutz reported in 2012, and others since, have demonstrated the innately physical nature of information by showing that deleting one digitized bit releases actual physical heat, and is in line with theoretical predictions.

Increasingly convincing evidence is showing that such digitized information, the basis for all our technologies, is exactly the same as universal information, also articulated as digitized bits of ones and zeros, that underpins and makes up all physical reality.

In addition, cosmologists are coming to recognize that our Universe is manifested holographically. This holographic principle posits that digitized information pixelated at the minute Planck scale area of the 2D holographic boundary/brane of space-time projects its emergent appearance.

Meaningful in-formation, enshrined in the laws of physics and expressed as all forms of energy-matter and space-time in complementary ways, then enable our Universe to respectively exist and evolve. And, with universal nonlocality facilitated by the holographic principle, to do so as a unified entity.

A team of Princeton researchers has conducted the first study of how baby and adult brains interact during natural play, and they found measurable similarities in their neural activity. In other words, baby and adult brain activity rose and fell together as they shared toys and eye contact. The research was conducted at the Princeton Baby Lab, where University researchers study how babies learn to see, talk and understand the world.

"Previous research has shown that adults' brains sync up when they watch movies and listen to stories, but little is known about how this ‘neural synchrony' develops in the first years of life," said Elise Piazza, an associate research scholar in the Princeton Neuroscience Institute (PNI) and the first author on a paper published Dec. 17, 2019, in Psychological Science.

Studying real-life, face-to-face communication between babies and adults is quite difficult. Most past studies of neural coupling, many of which were conducted in Hasson's lab, involved scanning adults' brains with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), in separate sessions, while the adults lay down and watched movies or listened to stories. But to study real-time communication, the researchers needed to create a child-friendly method of recording brain activity simultaneously from baby and adult brains, the researchers developed a new dual-brain neuroimaging system that uses functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), which is highly safe and records oxygenation in the blood as a proxy for neural activity. The setup allowed the researchers to record the neural coordination between babies and an adult while they played with toys, sang songs and read a book.

When they looked at the data, the researchers found that during the face-to-face sessions, the babies' brains were synchronized with the adult's brain in several areas known to be involved in high-level understanding of the world--perhaps helping the children decode the overall meaning of a story or analyze the motives of the adult reading to them. When the adult and infant were turned away from each other and engaging with other people, the coupling between them disappeared.
